Our Spring Break!

Wow, I can't even begin to describe how nice it's been to have Caleb home with us for a whole week! Caysja and I have had so much fun with him and it's gone by too fast! Here's an overview of what we did (we tried to squeeze as much as we could in a week):

Mon.--Caleb caught up on his sleep!!/FHE/babysat so our friends could go out to dinner
Tues.--went bike riding all around the hills of Glendale
Wed.--went to the Wildlife World Zoo with some friends
Thurs.--drove to the Grand Canyon and spent the day there (what a view!)
Fri.--hung out at the pool (enjoying the 80 degree weather we've had all week!) and played games at our friend's house
Sat.--went on a hike up Camel back Mountain near Scottsdale and had a BBQ at the pool that night with a bunch of our friends

I don't think the week could have been any better!

Bike riding around Glendale

Caysja had to bring her baby along too

check out this HUGE old cactus we found!

dinner at Rubios (fish taco Tues.!)

At the zoo with the Hamar and Morris family

feeding the giraffes was so fun!
the giraffe licked Caysja's hand--she didn't like that too well!

the cool white tiger

we took an "Australian"boat ride

feeding the goats at the petting zoo--they ate Caysja's skirt and Caleb's shirt!

The Grand Canyon

inside an old Indian "look out" tower built in the 1930's

What an incredible view--breathtaking!

On the edge of the cliff someone had built a snowman so we had to take a picture! Caysja didn't like the snow too well. I guess she "forgot" she's an Idaho girl!

I've always wanted to see the Grand Canyon, and now I've done it

Hiking up Camel back Mountain--Cholla Trail--(Caysja getting some ZZZ's in the backpack)

It was a hard hike (s0metimes on all fours!), but the view was totally worth it! You could see the entire Phoenix valley--ASU, downtown Phoenix, everything!

Hanging out at the pool

Caleb and Caysja built a sandcastle together

Your week sounded like a serious party! That's so nice you guys were able to get out and do so much during Caleb's Spring Break. I'm a little jealous since Adam's starts tomorrow and he flew out to Utah for work. Caysja looks too cute in her stroller. We need some of your warm weather to hit our way!

that sounds like an action packed week. i am pretty impressed caleb hiked camel back moutain with caysja on his back. that is a hard climb. it is so steep and a little slippery on that slick rock. the view is totally worth it though. we will have to get together again, maybe over a weekend when the boys aren't too busy. it was so fun having you guys over.

Wow, what fun pictures and what a great week! You guys are a super sporty active family, I love it! So, I LOVE Caysja's headband in the back of the bike thing - did you make that, it is adorable! Also - how far away is the grand canyon from here and what was the weather like? I definitely want to do that one weekend - was it too much driving in one day? Ok - sorry about the 20 questions! ;)

Ok Criscell, You've totally put Arizona on my list of possibilities to live! You are so lucky to have that kind of weather! It's like you're always on vacation! You sound like you've had so much fun! We just got almost all the snow melted and then it snowed AGAIN! We are supposed to hit 50 degrees by the weekend, :) At least the bulbs in my garden are brave enough to pop their heads out, but not me!

That's alright. :) It's always good to hear Happy Birthdays and stuff like that. Hahaha I just started my blog a little while ago and I know I'm a nerd, but I have been putting up past scrapbook pages from when I met Danny until now. When I get caught up I will just start posting normal pictures and blogs. I didn't have a digital camera until recently, so none of the past pictures are on my computer and that's why I'm putting up scrapbook pages. Kind of weird, I know, but that's what I decided to do. :)

Sounds like you had a great week! I can't even remember what 80 degree weather is like. :) Today at 3:00 pm we were 19 degrees, but with the windchill and humidity it was 5 degrees. Too cold to even play in the snow.
