My GOOD NEWS!

We had a wonderful Easter and I promise to post pictures soon...but, in other news...CREW IS SLEEPING 10-12 HOURS STRAIGHT AT NIGHT!!!! I am SOOOO in heaven I can't begin to tell you!! (...and he's started sucking his thumb...oh well!) We love our Crewser man! I can't believe he's four months old already. He is truly the BEST baby and we love him to pieces!

It's that time of year again...

My little flute quartet, "Flutasia" that I play with here in AZ, does two concerts a year--one in the spring and one in the winter. Our spring concert is coming up THIS Saturday at 3 pm at the Glendale Public Library and it's free and open to the public if anyone wants to come! We are playing some beautiful music!!

I LOVE General Conference!

I just love General Conference!!! It is always exactly what I need to hear. Although it's pretty hard to get a lot out of it with two kids around, what I was able to hear was wonderful. I think my favorite talk of all (though I have several that I loved) was Robert D. Hales' talk on "Provident Living". I loved how he talked about living within our means and not buying things that we really can't afford and don't "need". ( If only I could remember that when I'm out shopping!) I enjoyed the story he told about his wife and how he wanted to buy her that nice dress and she went and put it back on the shelf, saying, "we just can't afford it right now." One of my favorite sayings lately is, "to everything there is a time and season". We may not have the money for certain things right now, but that's okay. Now is just not the season for it. I'm so grateful for what I DO have--my two darling children, my wonderful husband who is working so hard to provide for us, my parents and in-laws, great friends, my safe home, food to eat, and so much more. Another of my favorite talks was Elder Holland's talk on the Savior's atonement and resurrection. His talks always move me to tears! It was the perfect talk for this time of year with the celebration of Easter coming up this weekend. What did you like from Conference?

Crew's Blessing

A couple weeks ago we blessed Crew in Sacrament meeting. It was such a beautiful, special day and we were so grateful to share it with both sets of grandparents who came into town for the event, as well as several good friends of ours. Thanks! We miss you! Crew was such a good baby all day and he looked so handsome in his little suit. (It almost didn't fit, he's getting to be such a big boy!)

Caleb gave Crew such a beautiful blessing. It brought tears to my eyes. I thank my Heavenly Father each and every day for this wonderful husband and father of my children who is worthy to hold the Priesthood.

26 on the 26th!!!

Yep, it's official--I'm getting old. Today is my 26th Birthday and it's also the 26th of March. That only happens once in a lifetime! I think it's called your "Golden Birthday". Thanks to all my great friends for making it such a wonderful day! My super visiting teachers brought me my favorite flavor of ice cream this morning, my good friends took me out to lunch, and then to smoothies. Many people called me, text me, and dropped things by. I have felt so special all day. Caleb took me to dinner last night since this morning he had to leave for a Basketball tournament in San Fancisco and he'll be gone til Sunday. I've had lots of family in town this past week for Crew's blessing so lots of pictures will be coming soon...

My Smiley Baby Boy

Crew has the MOST darling smile(I know, I'm a little biased)!! He makes me happy just looking at him because HE is so happy all the time. I really couldn't have asked for a better baby. Here are some of my favorite pics of his smile.

We made these little "tag blankets" for our ward's Crafty Corner a few weeks ago and Crew loves to suck on the ribbons. Thanks for teaching the class, Lindsay!

I wanted to get a shot of Crew's long hair (he still hasn't lost any of it, but it is seeming to get lighter by the day) so I put gel in it and made a little "mohawk".

Spring Break 2009

We had a wonderful Spring Break! It was great to have Caleb all to ourselves for a few days. Of course we had to go swimming and the weather was just perfect.

We took a picnic lunch to this AMAZING park in Anthem!! I have never seen slides that tall in my life. They have beautiful lakes, fountains, playgrounds, and also a train. AND, to make it even better, our good friends, the Morris family just happened to be there at the same time!

Photo Shoot

A couple weeks ago, my talented friend, Ashley, was so kind to take some pics of my kids for me. I'd mentioned that I wanted to make a birth announcement for Crew, but I didn't have photoshop, nor did I know how to use it. She whipped this out for me in no time. She's a pro, don't you agree?! I LOVE how all the pictures turned out! Thanks again, Ashley!!! You're the best!

We're so glad when Daddy comes home...

Caleb had his last final on Friday and we are so proud of him! Only one more semester and then he'll be in his THIRD year already! We are looking forward to having him home with us for a few days. The best days are when Caleb is home and we can be all together.

On another note, Caleb's parents were supposed to come visit us this weekend, but his grandma has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and may only have months to live so they were not able to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Caysja could play with Caleb all day long and never tire of it!! He is the best dad in the world!

A couple weeks ago after church we came home and took some family pictures. A friend at church pointed out that we were all matching that day (not on purpose, I promise!). Caleb didn't match though, so he's not in any of these. (I should have made him go change his tie so we could have a complete family picture.) Anyway, I thought they turned out pretty cute!
