Organ Stop Pizza

All those of you who are from AZ may have already heard of or been to Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa, but for those of you who haven't, you HAVE to go! It is soooo awesome! We went a couple weeks ago with some friends of ours and had a blast! The organ is the largest whurlitzer organ in the world (so they say) and it has these huge pipes all around the whole room. In the olden days they used these organs for the silent films. You listen to the music while you eat pizza. You can make requests too. We listened to Star Wars, Sesame Street, Mama Mia, etc. while we were there.

The organist was amazing! He had all his music memorized and could play pretty much anything.

Alissa, Britni, LeiLani, Travis

Caleb, Caysja, Miah

Halle, LeiLani, Miah, Caysja--dancing to the music!

I love the last picture the most. If you look just to the right of the girls, there is a sign that says no standing on the console, which is exactly what they are doing. Love it! Absolutely LOVE IT!

What a cool place! I remember my FAVORITE part of BYU's Young Musician Summerfest camp was the silent movie with live organ accompaniment.

Sorry -- just read your blog about Caysja biting her nails. And then read the comments to see what other people had said. We had the same problem with Brynn. We had heard nail polish -- it worked for her like it did for Caysja. We heard about cayenne pepper and bad tasting stuff and I just didn't want to go there. So we asked Dr. Leber and he told us to pay attention to WHEN she was biting them. Is it a constant chronic thing? Or does she just do it when she's bored and there's nothing else going on? That second category is the one Brynn fell into. And SOOO ... we fixed it by simply giving Brynn books when it was time for her to take a nap or go to bed at night. And then she started reading books instead of biting her fingernails. It was AWESOME! And the other thing Dr. Leber said was to give lots of attention to other people's fingernails. Like, "Oh, Caysja look! Grandma's fingernails are SO pretty. I bet she doesn't bite them!" And do the positive attention to the good instead of any negative attention for the bad, like, "Caysja, please don't bite your nails!"

Sorry for the long comment! Hope something helps! Good luck!

Oh. And he also said if it's more of a constant, chronic thing instead of a bored thing, then it's a lot harder to manage and is a trait that will likely follow her into adulthood. But again, good luck! Let me know if you try one of those things!

Hi! I set my blog to private and then got busy, so I'm just now getting around to adding people into it. It's only been two months...how sad. =) If you will send your email address to tracidove@gmail.com, I'll get you added in. Thanks!

Wow! This is so weird. I just found your blog the other day and was going to comment but was pressed for time and then today I get on my blog and you had made a comment on my blog. Great minds think alike! Your blog is SO cute! I'm still learning how this whole blog thing works so mine doesn't look nearly as good as yours. All your pictures you have posted are so cute. I love all of Crew's hair. Your kids are just darling!
