Temple Square and Wheeler Farm

A couple weeks ago we were able to go visit Temple Square for FHE.  My kids were so in awe of the Christus as well as the Salt Lake temple.

For Park day, our ward went to Wheeler Farm.  It was kind of a rainy/overcast day, but the kids still had a blast.

And before I forget, Capri has FINALLY learned how to CRAWL!!  I was beginning to wonder if she ever would!  The day after we came back from Baumgartner she just up and started crawling all over the place.   She seems to be a lot happier now that she can get around by herself.

One of the things we look forward to most every summer the Roberts' family reunion at Baumgartner Campground near Boise, Id.  It holds so many happy memories for us.  This year was no exception.  The cousins played all day, every day, the guys went on motorcycle/bicycle rides, the girls talked and visited.  On Sunday we held our traditional "church in the pines" and Caysja bore her testimony all by herself for the first time!  She did such a great job and I was so proud of her.  This was Capri's first time at Baumgartner and she did pretty well  aside from not taking naps since it was so hot in our tent.  The Boise River was really, really high and very cold so hardly anyone but the guys got in it.  The hot springs was just perfect as always though.  This year was a little different since Caleb's parents are still on their mission as are his Aunt and Uncle so none of his cousins came.  It was just Caleb's four brothers and their families.  There were still 10 adults and 20 kids!

We're so glad when G-ma and G-pa come to town!

Last week my parents came to visit.  We had so much fun and tried to cram as much as we could into four days.

We went to the new Foxboro Regional Park Splashpad (that's right in our neighborhood!)

My parents brought us a present...our old trampoline!!!  They decided that we might as well have it now that we have a yard.  My kids LOVE it and it has provided HOURS of fun so far!  Thanks, Mom and Dad!

If you know my dad at all, you know how much he loves trains.  So while they were here he and my mom took my kids for a ride on the new Front Runner.  They went all the way from Ogden to downtown Salt Lake.  The kids really enjoyed it and Crew is still talking about going on the "fast train with Grandpa."

First Day

I thought I'd post this picture from Caleb's FIRST day as a REAL DR.!!!  Yippee--we finally got our first paycheck in four years last Friday and it feels GREAT to get paid rather than paying them!

The Fabulous Fourth

The fourth of July is seriously one of my all-time favorite holidays.  I think it's second only to Christmas in my book.  I have soooo many happy memories of the fourth.  This year we went camping the weekend of the fourth with Caleb's family in Island Park.  The mosquitoes were terrible!!  My kids got eaten alive!  Other than that, we had a great time.  We're so glad that we live close enough to home that we can make it there for holidays and get togethers.

Later that day Caleb got together with his two best friends from high school--Brandon and Ryan.  This is a pose that they always used to do in pictures--(I really don't understand the story behind it, but find it hilarious that they still do it every time they get together!)

My very talented sister Chalise, helped me sew these cute matching skirts for my girls.  I love how they turned out.  Thanks, Liesie!  You are the best!

That night we had a BBQ at Eric and Kynda's house.  Here is Caleb jumping on the tramp with his brothers and playing some funny game they made up.  When he gets around his brothers it's just like he's a little boy again!  That night we watched the fireworks at the Greenbelt.  They say that the fireworks in Idaho Falls at the best show West of the Mississippi.  I don't know about that but they ARE pretty awesome!  We got back to UT at about 3am--(it was worth it)!
