The Fabulous Fourth

The fourth of July is seriously one of my all-time favorite holidays.  I think it's second only to Christmas in my book.  I have soooo many happy memories of the fourth.  This year we went camping the weekend of the fourth with Caleb's family in Island Park.  The mosquitoes were terrible!!  My kids got eaten alive!  Other than that, we had a great time.  We're so glad that we live close enough to home that we can make it there for holidays and get togethers.

Here we are at the parade in downtown Idaho Falls

Caysja wasn't a fan of all the loud sirens
My kids love to wave at my parents when they march by with the IFHS Band
Go Dad!
Go Mom!
Priesie and Adria
Grandpa Goodwin and Crew
Later that day Caleb got together with his two best friends from high school--Brandon and Ryan.  This is a pose that they always used to do in pictures--(I really don't understand the story behind it, but find it hilarious that they still do it every time they get together!)

Brandon, Ryan, Caleb
Me, Heather, Kiki
My very talented sister Chalise, helped me sew these cute matching skirts for my girls.  I love how they turned out.  Thanks, Liesie!  You are the best!
That night we had a BBQ at Eric and Kynda's house.  Here is Caleb jumping on the tramp with his brothers and playing some funny game they made up.  When he gets around his brothers it's just like he's a little boy again!  That night we watched the fireworks at the Greenbelt.  They say that the fireworks in Idaho Falls at the best show West of the Mississippi.  I don't know about that but they ARE pretty awesome!  We got back to UT at about 3am--(it was worth it)!
Here are a couple of pictures from our camping trip.
It was so beautiful.  The pictures don't do it justice.

Looks like a blast. You're lucky you're still close enough to go home. Glad you guys had fun. I love the girl's skirts. They turned out awesome! You're always so good at that kind of thing. I don't even think about it much less follow through with actually making it. Great job!

So fun to read your blog! Our girls have so much in common. I got a little sense of relief when I saw that she has a ton of lipstick too. You're such a cute Mom and we are so glad to have you as friends!

Cute pictures, it was great to see you guys. I don't really understand the picture story either with the guys. I am sure they will still do it ever time we get together.
