Skeletons, Princesses, and Halloween, Oh My!

When my sister and I were little we often wore matching outfits.  I guess that's partly why I think it's so cute to dress my girls identically now and then.  It worked out well that I found this tiny little Snow White costume at Kid to Kid after Caysja told me that's what she wanted to be for Halloween too.  Crew had been talking about Skeletons forever so that was a given.  I took these pictures at our ward Halloween party.  Caleb had to work late that night (he was on call) so with was just the kids and me.

And then we went trick-or-treating...

...as a family because Caleb got home in time!!

Poor Crew was starting to feel a little sick as you can see, so he rode in the stroller quite a bit of the time.

Pumpkin Patches and Field Trips

Caysja was so lucky to go to not one, but TWO pumpkin patches this fall.  The first was Pack's Pumpkin Patch in Farmington with her Girl Scout troup.  They needed volunteers to drive so Crew, Capri and I got to go along too.

Caysja's second pumpkin patch excursion was her first field trip with her Kindergarten class to Black Island Farms in Syracuse, Ut.  I was lucky enough to be a volunteer for this event too.  It was Caysja's first time to ride a school bus and she was soooo excited for that.

We ended the day by watching a pig race.  It was pretty funny!

The weather was sooo nice and her first field trip was pretty awesome!

Our Little Daisy

We started off the month of October with Caysja's Investiture Ceremony for Girl Scouts on Oct. 6th.  This is where they take the Girl Scout oath and pledge and "officially" become Daisy Girl Scouts.  At the conclusion they were each given their daisy pins.  Each girl had a small speaking part and then they sang several songs.  It was really so adorable.

What We've Been up to...

I'm long overdue for an update...sorry!  We've been keeping busy as always.  Capri's favorite thing lately is to climb the stairs and then scream at the top for someone to come get her since she can't get down!  (So far she hasn't fallen down, knock on wood!)

We baby-sat our cousins for several days a while ago and they all had a blast together.  It was warm enough to go to Liberty Park so here they are after swimming in the "little rivers".

One of our friends gave us a monarch caterpillar.  It was so neat to watch it turn into such a beautiful butterfly!  My kids didn't want to say goodbye to it.  Thanks, Millie and Jen, for such a neat opportunity!

In Sept. Caysja started Girl Scouts.  She is a Daisy--the first level.  She loves it and she has made some good friends already.  Here she is in her new uniform all ready to go.
